Almond Dessert
A simple and classic recipe for French Almond Cream, or Frangipane. It's a rich, nutty, and slightly sweet filling perfect for tarts, pastries, and cakes. This version is simple to make and always delicious.
Ingredients
- Butter – 125 g
- Caster Sugar – 125 g
- Ground Almonds – 150 g
- Custard Powder – 25 g
- Flour – 1 tbsp
- Medium Eggs – 2
Total: Enough for one tart or cake

Method
- Place the sugar, flour and custard powder into a bowl and whisk.
- Add the butter and cream. Mix well.
- Add eggs and almond bit by bit.
- Pour into a lined cake tin and bake at 160c for 35mins.
