Classic Pasta Carbonara

Creamy pasta carbonara with bacon

Introduction

Pasta Carbonara is a rich and creamy Italian dish made with eggs, parmesan cheese, crispy bacon, and spaghetti. A quick and comforting meal!

Ingredients

  • 200 g spaghetti
  • 100 g bacon or pancetta
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente.
  2. Fry bacon in olive oil until crispy; remove from pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk eggs with parmesan and pepper.
  4. Drain pasta (reserve some water), then add to pan with bacon.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in egg mixture quickly to create creamy sauce.
  6. Add reserved pasta water if needed, then serve hot.
